Summary Overview

  • Standard & Poor’s 500 (S&P 500) Index dropped 19.60% during the quarter and it was down 6.98% over the past twelve months.
  • MSCI All Country World ex US Index (international stocks) fell more than US stocks driving the index down 21.26% in the quarter and 10.76% over the past twelve months.
  • MSCI Emerging Markets Equities Index decreased by 15.40% for the quarter and 23.60% over the past twelve months.
  • Bloomberg Barclays US Aggregate Bond Index outperformed stocks by rising 3.15% during the quarter.  The index rose 8.93% over the past twelve months.
  • Bloomberg Barclays 1-3 Year Government Bond Index rose 1.69% in the quarter and 4.53% over the past twelve months.
  • Rogers International Commodities Index fell 32.08% for the quarter and was down 30.54% over the past twelve months.
  • Gold outperformed stocks, bonds and the broad commodity markets by rising 6.22% in the quarter and 24.20% over the past twelve months.
