 Summary Overview

  • Standard & Poor’s 500 (S&P 500) Index rose 4.30% during the quarter and was up 10.42% over the past twelve months.
  • MSCI All Country World ex US Index (international stocks) underperformed US stocks by rising 3.80% in the quarter and for the year by being up 6.32%.
  • MSCI Emerging Markets Equities Index rose 0.61% for the quarter and decreased by 1.21% over the past twelve months.
  • Bloomberg Barclays US Aggregate Bond Index underperformed stocks by rising 3.08% during the quarter.  The index rose 7.87% over the past twelve months.
  • Rogers International Commodities Index decreased by 1.27% for the quarter and was down 7.34% over the past twelve months.
  • Gold outperformed the broad commodity market, S&P 500, international and bond markets by rising 8.77% in the quarter.  It increased by 12.68% over the past twelve months.
