Standard & Poor’s 500 (S&P 500) Index rose 20.54% during the quarter, and it was up 7.51% over the past twelve months.
MSCI All Country World ex-US Index (international stocks) increased less than U.S. stocks with the index up 18.41% in the quarter and 2.64% over the past twelve months.
MSCI Emerging Markets Equities Index was up 18.08% for the quarter but down 3.39% over the past twelve months.
Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index underperformed stocks by rising 2.90% during the quarter. The index rose 8.74% over the past twelve months.
Bloomberg Barclays 1-3 Year Government Bond Index rose 1.17% in the quarter and 4.20% over the past twelve months.
Rogers International Commodities Index increased by 9.55% for the quarter and was down 22.93% over the past twelve months.
Gold was in line with the broad commodity markets for the quarter, rising 9.26%. However, over the last 12 months, it continued to outperform stocks, bonds, and commodities, up 25.49%.
