Summary Overview

  • Standard & Poor’s 500 (S&P 500) Index rose 1.70% during the quarter and was up 5.76% over the past twelve months.
  • MSCI All Country World ex US Index (international stocks) underperformed US stocks by rising 0.10% in the quarter and for the year by being up 1.95%.
  • MSCI Emerging Markets Equities Index dropped 4.25% for the quarter and decreased by 2.02% over the past twelve months.
  • Bloomberg Barclays US Aggregate Bond Index outperformed stocks by rising 2.27% during the quarter.  The index rose 10.30% over the past twelve months.
  • Bloomberg Barclays 1-3 Year Government Bond Index rose 0.69% in the quarter and 4.64% over the past twelve months.
  • Rogers International Commodities Index decreased by 2.92% for the quarter and was down 14.50% over the past twelve months.
  • Gold outperformed the broad commodity, equity and bond markets by rising 5.42% in the quarter.  It increased by 25.10% over the past twelve months.
