Summary Overview

  • Standard & Poor’s 500 (S&P 500) Index dropped 13.52% during the quarter and was down 4.38% over the past twelve months.
  • MSCI All Country World ex US Index (international stocks) outperformed US stocks by declining 12.65% in the quarter but underperformed for the year by being down 8.93%.
  • MSCI Emerging Markets Equities Index dropped 7.40% for the quarter and decreased by 14.25% over the past twelve months.
  • Barclays US Aggregate Bond Index outperformed stocks by rising 1.64% during the quarter.  The index rose 0.01% over the past twelve months.
  • Rogers International Commodities Index decreased by 12.97% for the quarter and was down 9.17% over the past twelve months.
  • Gold outperformed the broad commodity market by rising 7.73% in the quarter.  It decreased by 0.93% over the past twelve months.
