Summary Overview

  • Standard & Poor’s 500 (S&P 500) Index rose 9.07% during the quarter and was up 31.49% over the past twelve months.
  • MSCI All Country World ex US Index (international stocks) matched US stocks by rising 9.07% in the quarter and underperformed the S&P 500 for the year by being up 27.30%.
  • MSCI Emerging Markets Equities Index increased by 11.84% for the quarter and 18.42% over the past twelve months.
  • Bloomberg Barclays US Aggregate Bond Index underperformed stocks by rising 0.18% during the quarter.  The index rose 8.72% over the past twelve months.
  • Bloomberg Barclays 1-3 Year Government Bond Index rose 0.59% in the quarter and 4.03% over the past twelve months.
  • Rogers International Commodities Index rose by 6.69% for the quarter and was up 11.86% over the past twelve months.
  • Gold underperformed the broad commodity markets by rising 1.98% in the quarter.  Gold increased by 18.43% over the past twelve months.
